Author(s): Manoj Kumar Kaushle and Satya Narayan Yadav

Abstract:

Inclusive education aims to provide equal learning opportunities for all learners, including students with disabilities and diverse learning needs. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) plays an important role in making education accessible, flexible, and effective for all students. This research paper explores the multifaceted role of ICT in promoting inclusive education, specifically examining how digital integration supports the National Education Policy’s mandate for equitable learning. By analyzing various assistive technologies such as screen readers, speech-to-text software, and customizable learning interfaces the study illustrates the benefits of ICT tools for learners with sensory, physical, and cognitive special needs. Furthermore, the paper addresses critical implementation challenges, including the digital divide, the need for specialized teacher training, and infrastructural limitations in schools. Utilizing a descriptive research methodology, the study concludes that when ICT is strategically integrated, it significantly enhances accessibility, social participation, and measurable learning outcomes. Ultimately, the paper advocates for a shift from traditional pedagogical models toward a technology-enabled inclusive environment that empowers every learner to reach their full potential in a mainstream classroom setting.
